About
I'm Mark, a Filipino-Australian photographer based in Copenhagen. My work is built on light — the technical craft of shaping it, and the instinct for when to let it sit quiet. It's the thing I care most about, and it's what carries every image I make.
I trained formally at RMIT in Melbourne, graduating in 2014 with a Diploma of Commercial Photography, then learned the trade on set — first under Scott Newett and Haydn Cattach in Australia, later at Copenhagen's renowned Lab Photo Studio. Along the way I've worked alongside photographers including Henrik Bülow, Casper Sejersen and Philipp Messmann, and under Alastair Philip Wiper in the industrial and architectural world. Those years sharpened my eye and pulled my style towards a distinctly Scandinavian sensibility — clean, restrained, considered.
Most of my recent work lives in fashion, but the range across those genres means I can read a brief and deliver it, whatever it asks for. Just as much, I care about how a shoot feels — I connect with talent and clients in a grounded, easy way, because the best images come from people who are comfortable in front of the lens.
